Erik was born and raised in Idaho’s Silver Valley, where he was surrounded by the mining industry from an early age. Prior to attending law school, Erik worked as both a wildland firefighter and in a mine, experiences that shaped his interest in pursuing a legal career focused on mining and related fields.

Erik joined Lyons O’Dowd as an intern in the summer of 2024 and has since gained hands-on experience assisting with education law matters, as well as title evaluations and opinions. Since graduating from the University of Idaho College of Law in the Spring of 2026, Erik has been admitted to the Idaho State Bar and is now working as a full-time attorney at the firm.
