Erik was born and raised in Idaho’s Silver Valley, where he was surrounded by the mining industry from an early age. Prior to attending law school, Erik worked as both a wildland firefighter and in a mine, experiences that shaped his interest in pursuing a legal career focused on mining and related fields.

Erik joined Lyons O’Dowd as an intern in the summer of 2024 and has since gained hands-on experience assisting with education law matters, as well as title evaluations and opinions. He has returned whenever possible to continue learning from and supporting Marc, Luke, and Megan. Erik will join the firm as a full-time attorney upon passing the Bar Exam in Spring 2026.
